Here's my ultra basic, super simple TNT (Tried 'N True) Top that I sew over and over in different knit fabrics. I wear them all the time. I did make some effort to get a nice fit, but now it's very easy to cut one out and stitch it up, mostly on the serger.
It's a one-piece, boatneck, elbow length sleeve pattern. The front and the back are the same. Drop a little food on my lunch hour? No problem, just flip it around and go back to work!

Hi Chris - I think you need to sew a little bit more - your wardrobe puts me to shame...I can hardly close my doors, but it's all home sewn! You've got catch-up to do - LOL!
ReplyDeleteLovely to 'meet' you' and isn't a TNT the best discovery ever?
hi, Ruth - you are so right. I have a list of things to sew and I better get cracking! Thanks for stopping by... :-)
DeleteThose tried and tested patterns are so hard to get rid of, isn’t it? No matter how many patterns are available these days, we always go back to basics. I think mine would be my tank tops. I have loads of them in different color and fabrics!
ReplyDeleteYou are SO right, Kayla! I rarely buy patterns these days, because they just never fit me that well, and fitting adjustments are the hardest and most time-consuming part of sewing for me. Thanks for stopping by...
