Sewaholic MINORU again

Here’s another Sewaholic MINORU jacket I just finished. This one in a nice light cotton twill for summer - Kaufman Kobe indigo. A little shorter than the Blue gray one, with a wider collar.

That should do it for a while.

Sewaholic MINORU

Finished sewing an unlined anorak in a light blue gray twill. Lots of mistakes and it’s wonky in places on the inside, but wearable. It’s the MINORU pattern by Sewaholic, with my simplified adjustments, of course.

I’m going to make another one in a dark indigo twill, while I remember how the pattern works. Then that should do it for the spring and summer jackets. Whew!

Replacing Ragged Quilt Binding

OK! I finished the edge binding -
It's not perfect, but I don't care! 😀

Started working on replacing the edge binding on an old quilt that I love.
Never done it before. So, just following a YouTube video.
Wish me luck!

Using Kona Cotton Cayenne - it's a nice basic fabric:

Wiksten Haori in a Linen Blend

Sewed another Wiksten HAORI (Japanese style loose jacket) in a linen blend -

Looking towards spring!

PATTERN: Wiksten Haori
Sewed a size Large this time - will size down to Medium when I sew it again.
And I will sew it again! I'm addicted, might as well admit it. 😍

FABRIC: Kaufman Essex Linen Canvas Yard Dyed  (Steel color)
It's a nice linen/cotton blend fabric, if a little stiff. The 'canvas' in the description should have been a clue. I'm hoping a wash with fabric softener will make the Haori hang looser.

I sewed the collar half-width, because I only had 3 yards of this 44" fabric.
I guess it looks OK, but I do like the wider collar in the original pattern.

Made the MID length this time and added 3', because I'm tall.

UPDATE: It shrunk just the right amount after I washed it and hangs softer and a little wrinkly now. I like it! I know I will wear it a LOT as a loose, cool topper when the weather warms up.

Sewing Projects - Spreadsheet

I had a goal of using up my stash and wanted to just have enough fabric
for a project or two at a time.

I had noticed that keeping fabric stashed away for a long time wasn't
working out all that well. By the time I got around to using it (if I ever did)
I found that I didn't like it much any more. My tastes had changed.
Last couple of months I'm hardly sewing at all. Have more than enough
to wear, and I go out much less, due to the COVID epidemic.

When I delved into my stash, I was most excited about the NEW fabric.

So, I decided to keep a spreadsheet of sewing projects - here it is -
(if you click on the image, it's much more legible)

SEWING PROJECTS - Some worked - some didn't!
